M42 Cobalt High Speed Steel for super abrasive resistance in tough metals. Used in left hand screw machines and with screw extractors. Can be used to drill out broken bolts and other hardened fasteners.

- Cobalt drills can drill approximately 30% faster than HSS drills
- Self centering 135° split-point for reduced thrust requirements and minimized walking
- Left handed flutes and cutting edges allow for counter-clockwise drilling

- Shorter screw machine length adds rigidity to the drill bit to reduce breakage
